Laura-May started dancing at the age of 2 completing numerous BBO examinations in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Modern with high results. She is now at advance levels in all areas of dance.

Laura-May gained a distinction in BTEC Muisical Theatre at Crosskeys College and has completed her BBO Dance Level 3 Teaching Dance qualification.

She has been involved in various amateur operatic societies since she was a little girl and taken part in numerous shows over the years. Laura-May also danced in Stan Stennets professional pantomimes in Newport where she was also chosen to take the leading role of Red Riding Hood.

At the age of 18 Laura-May took to the professional stage including performing as a  character Animator in a Christmas Spectacular Extravaganza in Norfolk,  a Dancer/Aerialist in Circus Gerbola in Ireland and a Dancer/Entertainer in Rhodes, Greece. Laura-may thoroughly enjoyed her time away performing but her heart was always at home where she now enjoys performing in local shows and assisting to teach dance in the Sharon Higgins Academy of Dance where she first started 25 years ago. She is also very proud that her daughter 2 year old Pearl, is also carrying on the tradition of dance.
